Installation and Removal Instructions
ProperConvert is secure, code-signed software. Below are the step-by-step instructions for installing and completely removing the application from your computer.
How to Install ProperConvert for Windows
Download the Installer:
Click the download button above for your operating system (Windows .exe or macOS .dmg) and save the installer file to your computer.
Run the Setup File:
Locate the downloaded file in your browser's download history or your computer's Downloads folder. Double-click the file to open the installation wizard. The installer is digitally signed by ProperSoft Inc.
Complete the Setup:
Follow the on-screen prompts to select your installation directory, accept the standard user agreement, and finish the setup. ProperConvert will be ready to use immediately.
Having trouble opening the installer? If you use Microsoft Edge or have SmartScreen active and see an "unrecognized app" warning, click More Info, verify the file is digitally signed by ProperSoft Inc. and then Run anyway.
If you are using Windows and do not have administrative rights on your computer, use the portable version below.
How to install the non-install (portable) ProperConvert version for Windows
Click on the to download the archive file.
Select a folder to save the file and click "Save".
Unzip archive to a desired folder.
Open created folder and make the right click on app name and select the "Send To" menu and then "Desktop (create shortcut)".
Double click on "properconvert.exe" or on created desktop shortcut to start the software.

How to install ProperConvert for macOS
If not yet downloaded, click on one of the macOS download links below.
Double click downloaded zip file in your Downloads folder
Open the folder created from the downloaded file and drag the app icon to your /Applications folder
How to Uninstall ProperConvert
If you no longer need the software, it can be completely removed at any time using standard operating system tools. No hidden files or background processes are left behind.
Uninstall from Windows:
Open the Start Menu and click on Settings (the gear icon).
Navigate to Apps > Apps & features (or Installed apps).
Scroll down or use the search bar to locate ProperConvert.
Click on the application name, select the Uninstall button, and confirm the action. Follow the automated uninstaller prompts to complete the removal.
Uninstall from macOS:
Open a Finder window and click on the Applications folder in the sidebar.
Locate the ProperConvert application icon.
Drag the icon to the Trash bin on your dock, or right-click the icon and select Move to Trash.
Right-click your Trash bin and select Empty Trash to completely delete the software.
