having trouble importing them into my existing accounts in quicken

I purchased CSV2QFX converter tonight and am having trouble.  i converted my file of  transactions from csv in an excel spreadsheet to qfx file but am having trouble importing them into my existing accounts in Quicken.  when it asks me if i want to import transactions into new account or existing account, the existing accounts i want to put the transactions into won't show up on the drop down menu.

Please do the following to fix the issue:

  • in Quicken, open the list of accounts and edit the account you need to import to
  • click on Online Services tab and select "Delete/Remove Online Services Link" and save the changes
  • import again


Alternative solution:

  • when asked to create new account, change its name to "Buffer" and import.
  • switch to Buffer account on the Sidebar, right click on the transactions grid and select "select all", then right again select "Cut transactions"
  • switch to actual account you need to import to, right click on the transactions grid and select "Paste transactions".
  • confirm the Buffer account is empty and delete it.
