I have Quicken essentials for mac v 1.7.2.  I want to take years of bank statements and have my assistant type them out in some suitable format which i can then import into my local Quicken program.  Do you have a solution or tip to help me accomplish this?

Hello,

You can enter all data in excel - that would be the fastest way, and save data as csv file.

Then use CSV2QFX.

Scroll down the page above for the csv sample file and use it as template for your data entry.

Try a small batch to confirm it is working for you, and then enter more data. Keep batches (csv file) for each month for more control and easier importing.

thanks

once i use CSV2QFX, what further steps do i take to load the file into a Quicken account using Quicken essentials for mac (v 1.7.2)? (just want to make sure compatible with Quicken essentials for mac)

Once you use CSV2OFX you will have the OFX file, that you simply import into Quicken Essentials (select File->Import under the main menu).
