Support for South African Rand (ZAR)Currency and importing dates incorrectly

134 views
Two things:

1) How do I support South African Rand? It seems to work when I import into Quicken in the default currency so not sure if it is an issue and;

2) When I import in puts in todays date and not the accurate transaction date -- could this be associated with number 1? Pls let me know.

I need to get this done and am stuck. Thanks for the help.

Hello Bruce,

QFX (web connect) files must always have USD otherwise Quicken will not import it. For non-USD accounts CSV2QFX creates them as USD keeping amounts in original currency - Quicken imports the amounts as supplied in the qfx file.

Hello Bruce,

If your account is set in QuickBooks as non-USD account, you have to change to USD to work with QFX files. I would suggest to use CSV2QIF instead of CSV2QFX, since there is no issues with QIF files either for USD or non-USD accounts.

CSV2QIF (http://www.propersoft.net/CSV2QIF ) creates importable QIF files for all account types and all Quicken versions. Please confirm, and confirm and I will transfer your license at no extra charge.

Thanks. Does QIF support Banking transactions (Checking account)? My Bank supports QIF but I didn’t think I could import them directly anymore.

Bruce, QIF supports banking transactions. Quicken imports "right" QIF files for all account types.
