How to use PDF2QIF to convert a PDF file?

  1. Start PDF2QIF, it will show the file dialog to locate a one or more of PDF files. Click on the file (or hold CTRL and click on more than one file to select multiple files) and click Open on the file dialog.
  2. Select QIF target (Quicken, MS Money, Quicken for Mac, Quicken before 2005, etc.)
  3. For Quicken target, click on the Account Mapping tab and enter the account name as it is in Quicken for each account (these entries will be remembered and you have to do it only once).
  4. Return to the Transactions tab.
  5. Click the Save button to save loaded transactions to QIF file.

Which PDF statements are supported?

PDF statement must downloaded directly from your bank. When you open a PDF file in a PDF viewer, the text must be selectable and allowed to be copied.

Are scanned PDF statements supported?

Not a this moment. You will spend a lot of time correcting OCRed scanned document. It is faster and easier to use Excel to enter data and use one of our CSV2* converters to convert to required format.

How I should import a QIF file that PDF2QIF created under Quicken 2005+ (including 2017)?

  1. Start Quicken and click File, then File Import, then QIF file.

  2. On the import screen, select 'All accounts' from the account drop down list. Ignore message about QIF limitations.
