I can not match up a category field with a QuickBook Expense Account

I’m trying to import a CSV to QBO using your free trial software. However I can not match up a category field (like milage) with a QuickBook Expense Account. Where would I map that. Can you tell me how to do that please?

QBO format does not carry the category (expense/income account).

QuickBooks uses the account from vendor records when you match it to payee name after import. Also QuickBooks offers renaming rules for this reason as well.

Thanks, but the renaming rules only apply to payees, not accounts. I can’t download the category into say Check number and then take that field and link it to the accounts field in QuickBooks?

The renaming rule has option "Categorize" for "..DO THIS"

I think if you add category to description, then you can create proper rename rules to look for the category and apply it.
