Choose a ProperConvert license

A bank statement converter is never finished. Banks change their statement layouts without notice. A new column, a moved date, a description that now wraps to a second line, and the converter that worked last month reads the wrong amount this month. The accounting apps change too. QuickBooks, Quicken and Xero update their import rules, and Windows and macOS update under the app. Someone has to read the new statements, fix the parser, test it against hundreds of older statements so nothing else breaks, and ship the update. That work never stops, so it has to be paid for every month, not once.

I sold perpetual licences for years. It did not work for this kind of software. A customer paid once, and two years later their bank changed the layout. They expected a fix, and they were right to expect one, but the money from that sale was long spent. My choice was to work for free on old versions or to sell an upgrade that felt like paying twice. Neither was fair to anyone, so in 2023 I stopped selling perpetual licences.

The subscription puts me on your side of the problem. I only get paid while your statements convert this month. When a bank changes something, fixing it is the job, not a favour. Every release is checked against a test set of real statement layouts before it ships, and a fix for a changed bank layout usually takes days, not a version cycle.

If you need the converter for one tax season, take the monthly plan and cancel when you are done, from the Customer page or by email. The free trial never expires. It opens and fully parses your statements, and only the saved file is limited to 10 transactions. When a subscription ends, the app simply goes back to the free trial, so you can still check how your statements convert and contact support about any problem before you renew. Your converted files are yours and stay on your computer. The licence covers a user and their devices, with no limit on files or transactions.
