You CAN import GBP transactions into GBP account through QFX, but QFX file itself has to currency stated as USD, not GBP. Think of it as a container with proper marking that Quicken will allow to import.

Yes, you can import QIF as well for all account types (QIF does not carry the currency). Use CSV2QIF for that. Please visit http://www.propersoft.net/CSV2QIF and instructions how to import (scroll down).

Pleasse ignore Quicken message that QIFs are not supported, just follow the instructions:

- enter the account NAME in CSV2QIF exactly as you have in Quicken
- in Quicken, on the QIF import screen, select "<All accounts>" from the account dropdown list

QIF format is less confusing, does not require internet connection, supports categories and tags, but you have to follow the instructions to have it imported.

For GBP accounts, please set force currency to GBP or click the Review Mapping and set currency assigned column to "do not use". Quicken will import QFX only with USD set, even into GBP accounts in Quicken. The amounts will not change and stay in GBP as in your original CSV file.
